LAKE BYRON — The South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks, in conjunction with the Lake Byron Development Association, has established a No-Wake Zone at Lake Byron, effective Aug. 10.
There is continued concern about damage to the shoreline of Lake Byron, as well as lifts and docks of property owners through waves or wave action. The GF&B, and the LBDA is encouraging all boat enthusiasts to observe the No-Wake Zone, to prevent any additional damage.
The water level has dropped at Lake Byron, but remains above the high water mark and is two-and-a-half to three feet above the water level at this time last year.
