2022 Bowling honors

Fair City Lanes from Royal Bowlers league at Fair City Lanes was the women’s champion of league champions. Front row, from left: Cheryl Wurts, Kelly Johnson and Tonya DePauw. Back row: Julie Johnson, Alaina Harrington, Tonya Dorris and Brandi Fitzgerald. Not pictured: Nancy Shoultz. Kelly Johnson and DePauw also won the handicap doubles title during the Women’s City Tournament. Fitzgerald also had the association’s high game (259); high series (688) and high average (199) this season.


From left: Jean North, Karen King, MaKiah Schweigert and Nikki Steilen won the team championship during the Women’s City Tournament. Steilen and Schweigert also won the scratch doubles, while Schweigert one and handicap and scratch singles, along with the handicap and scratch all events titles.


Lucy Steilen was inducted into the Huron Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame.


Winning high average awards this season in the Huron USBC Youth Association were, front row, from left: Raylynn Lonas (bantam, 67); Jeffrey Caban Jr. (bantam, 74); and Jeremiah Notario (prep, 144). Back row: Brandon Forrette (major, 195); Bryson North (junior, 196); Malorie Mattke (major, 173); Abagail Harrington (junior, 135); and Rosalee Peskey (prep, 110).


Kailynn Eggleston, left, and Malorie Mattke were the Huron USBC Youth Bowling $300 scholarship winners.
