A moon confluence

Posted

Wednesday morning was a unique meeting of lunar events, as a Blue Moon/Blood Moon occured at the same time as a Supermoon and a total lunar eclipse. It was the first total lunar eclipse since 2015 and the first Blue Moon Blood Moon visible from the U.S. since 1866. Clouds that covered the Heartland region Tuesday night cleared for the event to be easily visibile early on Wednesday.
