HURON — The United Way Heartland Region and the Day of Caring planning committee is happy to say that the 14th annual event is back to normal. After changing formats last summer due to Covid, a traditional Day of Caring will take place this year on Tuesday, Aug. 10. Although they are planning for a regular event on the second Tuesday in August, there will be some volunteer opportunities available at other times for those whose schedule conflicts.
Project registrations are being accepted now by emailing HuronDayOfCaring@gmail.com or calling the United Way at 352-3537. Volunteer registration is available by calling 211 or visiting www.helpline.org and searching “Huron Day of Caring.”
