Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Hitchcock-Tulare 0
HITCHCOCK – The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks ran the season record to 21-4 with a three-game sweep over the Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots Tuesday in Hitchcock to drop the Lady Patriots to 10-12 on the year.
Set scores for the Blackhawks were 25-23, 25-13, and 25-15.
The Blackhawks were led by Trista White, who had 10 kills, three service aces, and 15 digs. Brooke Doering led SCW with 13 kills while Teya Moody paced the offense with 26 assists.
Hitchcock-Tulare was led by Katelyn Schroeder with 10 kills, a pair of service aces, and 19 digs. Shanxi Chasing Hawk keyed the Lady Patriot offense with 21 assists.
The Blackhawks swept the JV match.
The Lady Patriots travel to Sully Buttes tonight and the Blackhawks travel to Bridgewater-Emery.
De Smet 3, Castlewood 0
DE SMET – The De Smet Bulldogs moved their record to 12-13 on the season with a sweep over the Castlewood Warriors Tuesday in De Smet.
Set scores for the Bulldogs were 25-22, 25-23, and 25-17.
Kennadi Buchholz had 19 kills, 15 blocks, nine digs, and a pair of service aces to lead De Smet. Jada Burke had six kills and a pair of aces.
The Warriors fall to 15-9 despite 15 digs and nine kills from Mackenzie Everson.
De Smet hosts Iroquois/Doland tonight.
