HURON — Rainbow Flower Shop will host it’s fifth annual Bag Your Limit fundraiser for United Way - Heartland Region fundraiser on Friday and Saturday.
As it has in the past, Rainbow will donate all proceeds to the UWHR fund drive.
Cara Osier and her staff at Rainbow will be on hand to assist customers with purchases, where 100 percent of every sale made will benefit the 30 agencies and 45 programs served by the United Way.
“I believe that all of the entities served by United Way Heartland Region are crucial to the services provided to those in our community. They work so well together to serve those in need which is important to our community.  I have personally worked with the Jan Manolis Family Safe Center as an advocate and beeper carrier for more than 15 years and have witnessed firsthand how the UWHR has helped our domestic abuse survivors. This is why I have chosen to host this event and give back 100 percent of the proceeds from sales to United Way,” said Osier. “Living United is a way of life for our community.”
Karen Allerdings said, “as a UWHR board member, I know how every dollar we raise is spent.  It is reassuring to know that 99 percent of all funds raised remain right here in our communities.  I am proud to represent NorthWestern Energy as the UW representative, helping those agencies which in turn help so many by creating lasting change.  As we strive to reach our campaign goal of $330,000.00 we appreciate the efforts of businesses like Rainbow Flower Shop that put forth so much to help us attain our goal.”
