C-WL Cyclones sweep Tiospa Zina Wambdi

CLARK — The Clark-Willow Lake Cyclones trailed the Tiospa Zina Wambdi after one quarter, but raced to a 23-6 advantage in the second period and cruised home to a 64-43 win in non-conference boys’ basketball action Saturday. The Cyclones are currently ranked in Class “B” basketball, while Tiospa Zina is in the ‘also receiving votes’ portion of the Class “A” rankings.
Jacob Prouty scored 18 points, grabbed nine rebounds and passed out eight assists to top the stat sheet for C-WL. Micah Burke also had 18 points and Grayson Flory contributed eight assists as well as the Cyclones move to 15-2. Clark-Willow Lake hosts Aberdeen Roncalli on Monday in Clark and closes the regular season Friday at Arlington.
Tiospa Zina, which falls to 16-3, closes regular season play on Monday at Deuel.

CLARK — The Clark-Willow Lake Cyclones put three players in double figures Saturday night, rolling past the Tiospa Zina Wambdi 50-28 in a non-conference girls’ basketball game that closed the regular season for both teams.
Janae Kolden scored 20 points for the Cyclones, who improve to 13-6, while Jaycie Forbes and Olivia Sass each netted 10 points.
Kylie Deutsch was the lone Tiospa Zina player to dent double figures, with 11 points.
