HURON — An ongoing citywide inventory of trees in Huron has shown so far that more than 40 percent of the trees are ash, which could be threatened by the emerald ash borer in the future.
Parks and Recreation Director LaRon Klock said the Huron Master Gardeners, who are working on the inventory, have had a few questions from property owners.
“The public should know that this group is entering data on the boulevard and Parks and Recreation area trees in the city and then we can manage the species of trees on city property,” he said.
