The Washington 4-5 Center held a “Hat Day” on Friday. According to Washington Principal Kari Hinker, the day was for support of a staff member - Bre Olsen, pictured with kids above- who is battling cancer. “We wanted her to know that she is not alone in her fight and that we have her back,” Hinker said.
Students brought a $1 to wear a hat today, prompting a variety of toppers and one student shaved his head in support.
Hinker reported that the students raised $666.49 for Mrs. Olsen.
