Six students from Iroquois High School showed their skills at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Sioux Falls. Led by their adviser Vicki Dant, they impressed everyone with their achievements.
The Iroquois chapter received top honors, winning the Gold Award for Merit Chapter and the Silver Award for promoting FCCLA.
They also competed individually in STAR Events. STAR stands for Students Taking Action with Recognition. It’s a chance for students to show their leadership and creativity in different categories.
• Madi Burma won Gold for her Professional Presentation.
• Emma Eckmann earned Silver for Teach and Train.
• Lorna Bult earned Silver for Career Investigation.
These students’ success shows their hard work and the support they received from their adviser. As they return home, they bring back not only medals but also a strong sense of purpose to make a difference in their community.
