The 24th annual Heartland Pool and Darts tournament was held at Huron Event Center, the Nordby Exhibit Hall and the Plains. Approximately 600 participants were in the darts tournaments making up 147 teams, while 58 teams represented an estimate of 300 competitors that took part in the pool tournaments.
This year the Heartland Hall of Fame was introduced, as four inductees were honored; Howard Haider of Wolsey and Doug “Fuzz” Krull from Letcher made the pool Hall of Fame debut, while recognized in darts were Rich Paul of Huron and Brad Huffman from Mitchell.
