MITCHELL — The Huron girls had three of the top four finishers, including individual champion Hamtyn Heinz, in the javelin during the Corn Palace Relays on Saturday.

Heinz had a throw of 105 feet, 3 inches to edger her younger sister, Hylton, who had a throw of 104-1, for the top spot.

Alyse Davis was fourth in the girls’ javelin for the Tigers with a mark of 98-3.

Isabelle Kremer was fifth for Huron in the girls’ discus with a throw of 94-2, wile teammate Jencie Goergen was eighth at 88-4.

Lizzy Heinen cleared 4-10 to share the seventh spot in the girls’ high jump for the Tigers.

Bryan Ramirez was second for Huron in the boys’ discus with a throw of 147-4. He also finished third in the shot put with a mark of 50-1.5.

Thackery Hansen was third for Huron in the boys’ 100-meter race with a time of 11.42 seconds. He was also fifth in the 200 at 23.26.

Kolby Hofer and Tyson Pfitzer were fourth and fifth, respectively, for the Tigers in the boys’ javelin. Hofer had a throw of 138-7, while Pfitzer was far behind with a 137-11.

The Huron track teams will be at the Pierre Invitational at 11 a.m. Friday.
