HURON — The Huron High School Marching Band won first place in their class at the March of the Meridian held Saturday in Yankton.
The band also won Best Color Guard, Best Winds and Sweepstakes Field Grand Champions. They obtained the highest field score of the entire competition.
HHS Marching Band director James Stueckrath, who joined the staff at HHS last year, said he is proud of the accomplishments the students have achieved. Saturday’s competition was the final of five for this season.
