HURON – The Huron Tigers tied 2-2 Thursday at Tiger Stadium with the Watertown Arrows, ranked fourth in power points in the state.
Huron moves to 8-1-2 with the tie and the Arrow move to 8-2-4. Watertown is the third consecutive team in the top four of power points that the Tigers have played. Huron currently is ranked No. 1 in power points.
The Tigers host Pierre on Tuesday and Harrisburg Thursday to close out the regular season.
O’Gorman 1, Huron 0
Coach Leah Branaugh said that the Knights controlled the tempo early on, and that was the difference.
“I thought our boys came out a little flat and O’Gorman took possession for most of the half,” Branaugh noted. “After halftime, we played more like ourselves and got back to possessing the ball and making good passes.”
The Knights were able to score in the 25th minute to move to 8-2.
Alex Bautista Rosales made seven saves in goal for the Tigers.
The junior varsity game ended in a 1-1 tie.
Nick Kleinsasser had the goal for the Tigers.
Micah Larson had four saves in net.
