Huron gymnasts host Yankton, Madison in triangular

HURON – Yankton came away with the team title and Yankton’s Allison Johnson won the individual all-around title as the Huron Tigers gymnastics hosted a triangular with Madison and Yankton Thursday evening at the Tiger Activities Center.

Yankton finished with a team score of 139.1. Huron posted a 128.9 team score, something coach Julie King was pleased to see.

“The team score continues to rise at the right time of the season,” stated King.

Eastyn Eichstadt’s fourth-place finish in the balance beam was the top finish for any Tiger gymnast.

Madison won the junior varsity meet and Caymen Ferber of Madison won the JV all-around title.

Ellie Puterbaugh finished third in all-around and Katelyn Radke finished fourth for the best finish in the JV meet for the Tigers.

Huron is back in action Saturday at the Watertown Invitational starting at 9 a.m.
