ABERDEEN — The Huron 13 Teener baseball team went 2-1 during the Vern Jark Memorial Tournament, which concluded Sunday.
Huron opened the event with a 10-2 victory against Milbank on Friday.
Bubba Peterson had 11 strikeouts and five innings on the mound to propel Huron to the victory. He also was 2 for 3 at the plate with an RBI.
Tanner Gilbert had a pair of hits and a RBI for Huron, while Kolby Hofer had a hit and a RBI and Vinny Bales and Colton McNeil each had a RBI.
The lone loss in the tournament for Huron came Saturday during a 9-1 setback against Harrisburg.
Gilbert had a hit and scored, while Logan Leyendecker also had a hit.
McNeil handled the pitching duties.
Huron rebounded with an 8-0 victory against Aberdeen’s combined 13/14 team on Sunday.
Hofer recorded a no-hitter on the mound, with one walk. He also had a hit and a RBI.
Peterson tallied a pair of hits and had a RBI, while McNeil, Brady Feenstra and Leyendecker all scored runs and Bales had a RBI.
The Huron 13 team returns to action today with a home doubleheader against Aberdeen at 5 p.m., at Klock Field.
