Huron K-9 officer Derek Layher and “Cody” greeted the public Tuesday evening, at the Huron National Night Out, which is designed to provide a more personal interaction between the public and emergency services. Layher and Cody did a drug detection demonstration and then got up close and personal with some of the youth who were enjoying the evening’s events, which included Tug-o-War, a demonstation on fire safety, a dunk tank and the always popular donut hole eating contest.
