HURON — After rolling the 48th perfect game of his bowling career, Bo Johnson of Huron had scores of 279 and 290 in his next two games to establish a new Huron USBC record with an 869 series during the Universal League on Oct. 12 at Fair City Lanes.
Johnson had strikes in 34 of the 36 frames during the series. He left the 7-pin standing in the fifth frame of the second game and the 4-7 spare in the first frame of the last game.
Johnson has now rolled an 800 series 27 times in his bowling career. He eclipsed the old record of 851, which was set by Austin Arbogast of Huron.
