HURON — We Found Sound, a Huron Community Show Choir, will be presenting its 13th annual Spring Show, “Keepin’ the Beat,” Saturday and Sunday, April 9, at 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. at the Huron Fine Arts Theatre, 939 Ohio Ave. S.W.
Advance tickets ($6) are available at American Bank & Trust and Farmers & Merchants Bank until 4 p.m. Friday. Tickets will also be available at the door for $8.
Directed by Katie Scheibe and Kristi Kattner, WFS has 60-plus members in the Minors (grades three through seven) and Majors (grades eight through 12).
They rehearse weekly on Sunday afternoons at the WFS Studio in downtown Huron. They also present a Christmas Spectacular each year, as well as performing annually at the Salvation Army Christmas Basket Program.
“Many hours have been spent preparing for this show, please come and support these amazing kids,” said Scheibe. “Thank you to all our great supporters in the community; we would not be celebrating 13 years without you. These kids will have you tappin’ to the beat.”
Special groups that will be performing are the Dance Troupe, White Glove Crew and a Junior/Senior ensemble.
Some of the songs they will be performing include “We Are The World,” “I Got A Feeling,” “Feel The Beat,” “We Got The Beat” and many more.
There are eight graduating seniors in WFS this year, Alissa Byrd, Alyssa Schwartz, Callee Neihus, Carson Hruby, Courtney Hoogland, Henry Rubish, Jennee Neihus and Kinsey Evens.
