Eight-time world champion team roper Speed Williams demonstrates roping technique on a practice steer during a three-day team roping clinic, which started Friday at the Beef Complex on the South Dakota State Fairgrounds. The clinic, which was organized by Double Bar J Cowboy Church in Huron, included 18 participants from five different states. It concludes Sunday.
Kayla Spickelmier, a clinician at the TY TUFF Goat Tying Clinic being held at the Hippodrome on the South Dakota State Fairgrounds, offers advice to one of the 10 participants, as another participant practices tying on dummy goat on Friday.
