Boys
8th grade
HURON – The Huron Tigers eighth-grade boys basketball teams dropped a pair of games against the Mitchell Kernels Thursday.
In the A-game, Huron fell 46-39. Ty Kleinsasser had a big game, scoring 21 points while grabbing four rebounds and dishing out three assists. Chase Schuchhardt added 11 points and Bryson North chipped in five points while grabbing five rebounds.
Mitchell took the B-game 35-24. James Shoultz scored six points and nabbed a pair of steals while passing out a pair of assists. Michael Olson and Aaron Lucio-Garcia each contributed five points.
7th grade
HURON – The Huron Tigers seventh-grade boys scored a split with the Kernels.
The A-team lost 50-27. Colt Culver led the Tigers with 10 points. Jimmie Martin added nine points, while Noah Owen pitched in four points and Parker Bischoff notched three points.
Huron’s B-team scored its first victory of the season as Moe Shae scored nine points, Yo Yo put in eight points, Noah Koops hit for seven points, and Klee Htoo scored four.
The Tigers host Aberdeen on Saturday.
