HURON — Mitchell pulled away late for a 7-4 victory in a spring baseball game against Huron on Thursday at Klock Field.
Aided by an RBI-double from Bryce Steffen, the Tigers were able to open an early advantage, but Mitchell would pull even at 4-4 in the third inning.
The Kernels then scored two runs in the fourth inning to take its first lead of the game and held on for the victory.
