Victoria (Tori) Larson, daughter of Mark and Tricia Larson of Huron, was among the 900 women recently awarded the prestigious STAR Scholarship from the P.E.O. Board of Trustees.
While in high school Larson was active in band, choir, orchestra and was a member of the S.D. Honor Choir in 2021. She participated in student council, yearbook and the Student United Way - Huron Youth Leadership Council. She also served as a delegate to the 2021 SD Girls State and is the pianist at Our Saviors Lutheran and American Lutheran churches.
The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide scholarships to high school women who display academic achievement, leadership and service to both school and community.
The $2,500.00 non-renewable scholarship is to be used in the academic year following graduation. Larson was nominated by Huron P.E.O. Chapter F.
