HURON – A piece about a Wolsey-Wessington student getting to know his biological brother through a shared love of football has earned The Plainsman and Benjamin Chase recognition from the South Dakota Newspapers Association (SDNA).
In the SDNA’s annual awards, announced April 29, Chase’s piece titled “Brothers reunited, with football as a common bond” was selected as the first-place recipient for Best Feature Story - Non-Profile for a daily paper with under 7,000 circulation.
The original article ran Aug. 29, 2020 in the Plainsman. It was then picked up and released by the Associated Press, published in multiple papers throughout the country.
