France Pruitt, shown with her husband, Dean, was in Huron Monday to share how her family went through the escaping, hiding and fear of the Holocaust. Pruitt highlighted the history of how the terror of the Holocaust came to be, and the story of how her family was able to live through the 60 million deaths. Pruitt, author of two books, tells the stories of what it was like as a five-year-old child in a Jewish family during World War II and the Holocaust. “We had a lot of lucky breaks,” Pruitt said, “My parents were wise and had learned to plan ahead.” She gave two presentations Monday at the Huron Event Center.
