Dakota Energy Cooperative board elections Tuesday show excellent turnout

HURON - Three new board members were elected in Tuesday's board elections for a seat on the Dakota Energy Cooperative board during the annual meeting. With a line of cars that stretched out to the highway throughout the voting time window, Dakota Energy's Facebook page reported that the annual meeting had record attendance.
The final votes were tallied, and Darrell Raschke, Tommy Baruth, and Nick Nemec won their respective races for board seats. Each will serve a three-year term.

Madison/Baruth election
790 votes cast
551 votes for Tommy Baruth (69.7%)
Allen/Nemec election
785 votes cast
515 votes for Nick Nemec (65.6%)
270 votes for David Allen (34.3%)
