REDFIELD — Northwestern, which is the top-ranked team in Class B, went 4-0 to win the gold pool during the Pheasant Fall Volleyball Classic on Saturday.
The Wildcats, who are now 30-2, defeated Redfield-Doland and Groton Area in the gold pool to win the title in the nine team event.
Groton Area defeated Redfield-Doland to claim the second spot with a 3-1 record. The Pheasants were third at 2-2.
Beresford defeated Waverly-South Shore and Belle Fourche to win the silver pool, while Florence/Henry, Webster Area and Wolsey-Wessington all went 1-1 in the silver pool.
Northwestern had four players named to the all-tournament team — Madalyn Groft, Caitlyn Fischbach, Riley Grandpre and Sydney Schell.
The remainder of the all-tournament team consisted of Olivia Shantz and Kailee Clausen of Redfield-Doland; Alana Bergland and Aubrey Twedt of Beresford; Payson Birkeland of Belle Fourche; Janessa Storley of Webster Area; Payton Maine of Groton Area; and Ali Kranz of Waverly-South Shore.
