Huron hockey player Walker Schiltz, pictured first, is a member of the U16 Tier II National Championship Team South Dakota hockey team.
Team South Dakoa claimed the title with an 8-1 win over the Park City Ice Miners. Schiltz contributed a goal and an assist in the title game.
En route to the championship, Team South Dakota dispatched Team Wyoming 12-2; downed the Oklahoma City Oil Kings 10-1, defeated the Delaware Ducks 7-2 and shut out the Charleston Stingrays 7-0. Along the way, Schiltz collected four assists against Oklahoma City, had another assist in the Delaware game, and finished the Charleston game with two goals and two assists.
