HURON — The Huron Public Schools held its annual School Employee Recognition Banquet Wednesday at the Huron Event Center.
Kathy Bostrom, Team Leader of the Transportation Department, presented Lisa Sargent, a Special Education bus driver, with a Classified Employee of the Year award.
“I am so grateful that when I took the position of Team Leader I inherited Lisa and her love for the job that she has,” Bostrom said. “Lisa is irreplaceable.”
Tonya Whitmore, Office of Special Services administrative assistant, was also awarded a Classified Employee of the Year by Lori Wehlander.
“The greatest asset Tonya brings to the Office of Special Services is her desire to learn and become a valuable resource for everyone,” Wehlander said.
