SoDak 16 matchups set for Class B, Class A

HURON — The SoDak 16 matchups, which are scheduled for Tuesday in Class B and Class A have been set.

Second-seeded De Smet, which is 19-3, will face No. 15 Timber Lake (13-9) in a Class B matchup at 6 p.m., in Miller, while fourth-seeded Wessington Springs (21-1) will play No. 13 Waverly-South Shore (16-6) at Huron Arena at 6 p.m.

In the other Class B matchups, top-seeded White River (20-2) will play Highmore-Harrold (13-9) at 7 p.m., in Ft. Pierre; third-seeded Castlewood (19-3) plays No. 14 Centerville (14-8) at 6 p.m., in Madison; fifth-seeded Howard (19-3) plays No. 12 Philip (15-7) at 7 p.m., in Chamberlain; sixth-seeded Leola/Frederick Area (21-1) plays No. 11 Potter County (15-7) at 6 p.m., in Mellette; seventh-seeded Faith (19-3) plays No. 10 Viborg-Hurley (17-5) at 5 p.m., in Ft. Pierre; and eighth-seeded Dell Rapids St. Mary (18-4) plays No. 9 Gregory at 7 p.m., in Mitchell.

Class A
Top-seeded Sioux Falls Christian (22-0) plays No. 16 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (11-11) at 7 p.m., in Hartford.

Here is a look at the other Class A matchups: second-seeded Hamlin (19-3) vs. No. 15 Hanson (14-8) at 7:30 p.m., in Madison; third-seeded Sioux Valley (20-2) vs. No. 14 Lakota Tech (11-10) at 5:30 p.m., in Chamberlain; fourth-seeded Pine Ridge (20-1) vs. No. 13 Cheyeynne-Eagle Butte (14-7) at 6 p.m. MT at Douglas in Rapid City; fifth-seeded Dakota Valley (19-3) vs. No. 12 McLaughlin (16-6) at 5:30 p.m., in Mitchell; sixth-seeded Hot Springs (18-3) vs. No. 11 Vermillion (15-7) at 5:30 p.m. MT in Kadoka; seventh-seeded Rapid City Christian (19-3) vs. No. 10 Milbank (17-5) at 6 p.m., in Pierre; and eighth-seeded Groton Area vs. No. 9 Dell Rapids (17-5) at 6 p.m., in Watertown.

The winners of Tuesday’s games will advance to their respective state tournaments on March 14-16.
