Mitchell 92, Aberdeen Hub City Hoopers 83
Mitchell got 26 points from Kevin Talley and 22 from Jesse Tolsma to key a 92-83 win over the Aberdeen Hub City Hoopers in a first-round game in the Class “A” State Amateur Basketball Tournament at Huron Arena.
Cam Johnson added 17 points for Mitchell, who will play Aberdeen Tropics today in the semifinal round.
The Hub City Hoopers were led by Anram Samuels’ 23 points, while Marcus Robinson added 14, Steph Younkins chipped in 13 and Donnell Minton netted 10.
Mitchell will face the Aberdeen Tropics at 10 a.m. today in the semifinals, with the winner advancing to the 5 p.m. title game.

Aberdeen Tropics 106, Sioux Falls Fischer Rounds 104
Kevin Ratzch scored 38 points, Taylor Newton scored 28 and Jared Hannigan added 18, leading Aberdeen Tropics to a 106-104 win over Sioux Falls Fischer Rounds in an opening round game of the Class “A” State Amateur Basketball Tournament at Huron Arena.
Sioux Falls’ Michael Tveidt led all scorers with 39 points, while Zach Hansen added 21. Mitch Boeck scored 18 and Mitch Gray scored 12 for Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls Ambush 1, Rapid City 0
Sioux Falls Ambush won a first round game over Rapid City, when the Rapid City team was not able to make it to the tournament.
Sioux Falls will face Madison, who defeated Sturgis 106-93, at 11:30 a.m. today in the other semi-final game. Sturgis was replacing Tea, which was unable to make it to the tourney.
