The Huron girls’ tennis team won the Team Sportsmanship Award during the Class A State Tournament, which was held Oct. 5-6 in Rapid City. The award, which is voted upon by coaches and tournament officials, is awarded to the team with the best display of sportsmanship both on and off the court during the tournament. The Tigers also won the award in 2015, which makes them the second team to win the award twice since its inception in 2007.
Members of the team from left are: assistant coach Rebecca Sadler, head coach Rachel Kary, Say Ma, Ann Hoek, Bethany Engelhart, Bianca Medina, AnneClaire Rubish, Elizabeth Heinen and Audrey Rubish.
