ABERDEEN — The Huron girls’ tennis team emerged with wins in two of the three matches they played Saturday at the Aberdeen Inivitational.
The Tigers opened the event with a 9-0 shutout against Rapid City Central and slipped past Rapid City Christian 5-4 to close the event.
Sandwiched between those to matches for Huron was a 9-0 loss to Rapid City Stevens.
Winning singles matches for the Tigers against Rapid City Christian were Audrey Rubish at No. 1, Bianca Medina at No. 3 and Say Ma at No. 6.
Medina teamed with AnneClaire Rubish to win at No. 2 doubles for Huron, while Ma combined with Lizzy Heinen to win their No. 3 doubles match.
The Tigers are scheduled to compete in a triangular in Pierre on Saturday.
