WAGNER — Quinten Christensen of Wessington Springs/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington won an individual title at 285 pounds on Saturday at the Region 3B Wrestling Tournament.
WS/W/W-W finished fifth in the team standings with 110.5 points and qualified five wrestlers for the Class B State Tournament.
Winner Area used 252.5 points to win the region team title. Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes was second at 205.5, while Burke/Gregory was third at 122 and Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon was fourth at 116.5.
Miller/Highmore-Harrold was ninth at 67, while Sunshine Bible Academy was 12th with four points.
Joey Hoverson was second at 132 for Wessington Springs/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington, while Keegan Haider was third at 152. Kayden Carter at 113 and Tyler Eddy at 182 were fourth.
Kellan Hurd at 113 was second for Miller/Highmore-Harrold, while Tate Hoffman was third at 170.
