Eighth-grade boys
HURON — The Huron eighth-grade boys’ basketball team took one of three against the Aberdeen Central boys Friday.
In the “A” contest, the Tigers fell 36-30. Huron was led by Bryson North with 12 points and four rebounds, while Ty Kleinsasser added eight points.
The “B” game also went to Aberdeen, 45-25, despite eight points form Zach Scheer and six points from James Shoultz. Both Michael Olson and Jeremy Hofer had four points and three rebounds.
Huron came out on top of the “C” game, 49-33, as Matthew Thin had 29 points, six rebounds and six steals. Scheer added 13 points.
Aberdeen won the “A” game, 43-17. Huron was led by Reagan Bischoff’s six points while Jayda Morrison added four.
In the “B” game, Aberdeen again prevailed, 19-15. Huron got five points from Kinsley Armstrong and four points from both Reva McGaugh and Naw Soe Paw.
Eighth-grade girls
Huron won the A-game 32-27.
Isabelle Kremer led the Tigers with 12 points, while Jessalyn Noyes, Camdyn Fuchs and Abagail Harrington each had six points.
The Golden Eagles recorded a 34-11 win in the B-game.
Jeriann Fergen had five points for Huron, while Natalie Kinsley and Londyn Wenzel had three and two points, respectively.
