BROADLAND — The Broadland United Methodist Church sponsored the evening meal at the Banquet in Sioux Falls on Aug. 17, with a total of 42 volunteers of all ages from 10 churches helping out.
The group cooked and served supper for 399 homeless or less fortunate individuals. They prepared lasagna, salad, bread sticks and grapes.
Volunteers came from the Broadland UMC, Bonilla Presbyterian, Virgil UMC, Tolstoy Wesleyan, Grace Point Wesleyan in Brooking, Lennox Church and Riverview UMC, First UMC and Mount Calvary Lutheran, all of Huron.
