Skylar Kluth, age 10, and Brynlee Deshazer, age 6, (shown above) wanted to do something to show appreciation to all the people on the frontlines during Covid-19.
With the help of Brynlee’s mom, Emily Fenske and her aunt, Alison Fenske, the girls baked cookies and made lemonade.
Rather than setting up a cookie and lemonade stand, they posted on Facebook that they would be selling fresh baked cookies and lemonade to raise money for gift certificates from local food places that they could donate to frontline workers and volunteers. In a three-day venture, the girls raised almost $400.
