To the Editor:

I have been watching Trump speak at his campaign rallies and it seems his only platform is to retaliate against anyone who has challenged his policies.

He says he will pardon the rioters who attempted an insurrection upon our democracy. He claims he wasn’t responsible for their actions, but he encouraged them to ‘go and fight like hell.’ These are narcissistic traits, where it is always someone else’s fault, never yours.

He keeps saying the election was stolen, even though more than 60 lawsuits on the issue failed in court. His advisors all told him that he lost the election, but he refused to accept his defeat because he is still raising millions of dollars with his lies.

There are currently 91 indictments against him in court…that would probably indicate that he has done something wrong.

He claims he is innocent, so why not go to court as soon as possible to prove it, instead of doing everything possible to delay. That is an indication he might be worried of losing because of his guilt.

It also seems in the Republican controlled states, there are moves to take away people’s freedoms. They are doing everything possible to make it harder to vote. Dictate what books schools and public libraries can use. Making doctors criminals if they treat women requiring health care for problems during pregnancies. Apparently, legislators know more than doctors about treating patients.

If you read the history on how Hitler took over Germany, you will see a similarity to what Trump and his followers are trying to do in the U.S., slowly taking away our freedom right before our eyes.

Trump stated at a rally, “Don’t believe what you see or hear; just believe me.”
