To the Editor:

How appropriate that on April Fools Day we get more comedy from Mr. Busch. He’s claiming that President Biden alone is responsible for our high gas prices by refusing Russian oil, and shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline.

Well, Congress voted unanimously to refuse Russian oil as well, and shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline didn’t cut one drop of Canadian oil imported to us. The Keystone XL pipeline is only 8% completed, and is not flowing oil.

The XL pipeline was to be a shortcut from Alberta to Steele City, Neb., where the original Keystone pipeline currently runs. The XL was to then go south to the Gulf Coast at Houston to be able to be exported. The original Keystone goes East to refineries, and terminals in Illinois, not exported.

I know where Mr. Busch gets his information from, and that is Faux News (spelled appropriately). He’s very proud of that. Faux News is nothing more than right wing propaganda with opinions rather than facts. Do you think that “Yucker Carlson” and Sean “Insanity” are news people? People go there not for information, but for affirmation. They want to hear only what they want to hear, and not the truth.

FOX News has never won any major awards for broadcasting. CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, and CNN have all won many major awards as the Edward R. Murrow, and Peabody awards.

Who is “fake news”?

So Mr. Busch, keep the comedy coming, as it is entertaining. Remember to hold the flag in your left hand, and your Bible in your right hand as high as you can hold them, and thank God, and this country for your right to be misinformed.
