To the Editor:

I would like to share one of the most gratifying ways of paying back to our community. Over the past several years I have been a member of the HRMC Auxiliary volunteer group.

One can be an active member and work a four hour shift weekly (or more if desired or a sub on call) or just a volunteer member upon payment of $10 yearly dues. We support the hospital by providing service at the front desk, Towers, and radiology.

We direct patients to their appoint locations, provide room information, and answer questions whenever possible. We are there to help the patients with whatever they need.

In return the hospital provides us with nice incentives from time to time. It is a good working relationship. There are other areas that need our help and that we have done in the past, but at this time we are in need of more volunteers to work.

Please think about if maybe you could give four hours a week or as a sub to help us out and give back to the community. We need our hospital in Huron.
