To the Editor:

I don’t know any job that allows you to take a week off, just because things aren’t working out for you.

Republicans did exactly that, when Kevin McCarthy was ousted as Speaker of the House.

You have to be able to govern, especially if you are in the majority. The country could still face a shutdown in a few weeks. Without a Speaker, the House will not be able to do its job. Hopefully, the next election for Speaker will not be as pathetic as the last one. To secure the Speaker’s job, he made sweetheart deals with MAGA Republicans, only to see it blow up in his face.

To burn the house down while still living in it is insane.

What does that mean for the country going forward? Services will be cut. People in uniform will face uncertainty and it could create hardships. If Joe Biden will be too old if he is re-elected, then the kids in the house are not old enough. Inmates are running the asylum. To lower the threshold so low that one person can have you removed from office is an act of desperation.

What happened to common sense politics? We all can have a difference of opinions and they don’t have to be based on ignorance.

When surrounded by ignorance and idiots, you will only get an idiot’s ignorant opinion.
