The local MOPS (Mother’s of Preschoolers) group will host its third annual Super Woman/Tough Guy, Family Fun Run, set to begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Ravine Lake Park. The event will benefit morning MOPS and the Royal Family Kids camp (a week-long camp for foster care children in the Huron area and surrounding counties). Registration for the Family Fun Run can be submitted at www.allsportcentral.com/eventinfo.cfm?eventid=64011. Those registering before July 28 will receive a $5 discount on the entry fee. There is a 5k run or a 2-mile walk, as well as a free kids run of approximately 1/4 mile. The kids will receive medals and a small toy. There are door prizes for those who register for the Family Fun Run, as well as prizes for first-, second- and third-place finishers and for the winners in each of the age division categories.
