HUTCHINSON, Minn. — Nyssa Beth-King (Mueller) Firewalker, 71, of Hutchinson, Minn., passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Woodstone Senior Living Community in Hutchinson.
She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield.
Nyssa was the fourth child born to Alfred and Elva (Fleischer) Mueller on March 29, 1949. She was confirmed in May of 1964, by Reverend John Bradkey at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, Minn.
Nyssa married Nelder Gifferson on November 6, 1976, and she married into a family with his adult children. Nelder died on January 16, 1993.
Nyssa liked to go to church and participated as both a greeter and a server.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Mervin (Gina) Gifferson, Lyle (Maxine) Gifferson, Gary (Louise) Gifferson, Dorie (Jim) Woodwick and Gale (Robin) Gifferson; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; as well as her siblings.
Nyssa was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one grandson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home of Redfield.
