Cruella DeVille from the movie, “101 Dalmations,” looks over her group of dalmation pups — pumpkins painted white with black ears and nose — in the scarecrow display created by Pumpkin Seed Daycare Thursday in Campbell Park.
Next, Shorty and Mike Jaqua put the finishing touches on their scarecrow that is cooking up a surprise.
The 24th annual Great Scarecrow Pumpkin Festival will be on display 24-hours a day through Sunday. The event is sponsored by the Huron Lions and Lioness Clubs. An awards ceremony is planned at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Huron Public Library is also sponsoring a Zombie Walk for youth on Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
