A steam explosion at Dakotaland Feeds around 4:30 a.m. Monday sent molasses spraying throughout the area when steam that was funneled into a rail car to get the molasses flowing blew the top off of the rail car.

The pressurized steam explosion caused damage to the top of the rail car and a nearby building. The explosion was reported to have sprayed molasses around the west side of town. No injuries were reported.
