HURON — The Global 6K Walk for Water took place Saturday morning at Ravine Lake, where locals gathered to raise money and awareness in support of people living without clean water in underdeveloped countries.
“My goal was to get 30 people to come out, we had a total of 45, so I’m very happy with that,” said organizer Deb VanOverschelde.
Annually the World Vision 6K walk takes place across the U.S., with the common goal to provide these communities with safe drinking water.
