HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Arden R. Weidauer, 86, of Huntington Beach, Calif., passed away February 23, 2019, at his home.
A gravside service with military rites, will be held April 15, at Riverside, Calif.
Arden Weidauer was born in 1933, in Marshall, Minn. to Raymond and Hannah Weidauer. After graduating from Huron High School, he joined the Navy. He was united in marriage to Priscilla Thrall of Huron. From a very early age, his passion was building. It became his life’s work and a hobby after retirement. He did remodeling for his family, friends, neighbors, and his church.
He retired at 65 to take care of Priscilla, who had terminal cancer. After her passing, he re-married. He and Elna traveled the U.S.A. and visited many countries around the world.
He is survived by his wife, Elna; sister, Phyllis Arwood; four children and their spouses, Michael (Marie), Michele (Patrick), Jeffrey (Kathleen), and James (Shannon); six grandchildred; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Priscilla; his parents; two brothers, Richard and Harvey; and sister, Darlene Lang.
Although we miss him very much, we know he was glad to trade in his old, worn-out body for the new one promised in the Bible. We’re sure he’s busy making a place for his children and their children in heaven as he always did here on earth.
