Groton Area 50, Clark/Willow Lake 44
CLARK — A rally in the fourth quarter came up short for Clark/Willow Lake on Thursday night. Groton Area held on for a 50-44 victory.
The Tigers, who improved to 6-5, led 40-27 heading into the final quarter and were able to withstand a 17-10 run by Clark/Willow Lake in the final quarter.
Gracie Traphagen led Groton Area with 16 points, while Allyssa Locke added 12 points.
Alicia Vig was the lone players to reach double figures for the Cyclones, with 16 points. Kayla Jordan and Musonda Kabwe added eight and seven points, respectively.
Clark/Willow Lake, which is now 2-7, travels to play Wilmot today.

De Smet 75, Hamlin 57
DE SMET — The top-rated De Smet Bulldogs earned a 75-57 win against Hamlin on Tuesday.
After leading 23-16 at the end of the first quarter, the Bulldogs went on a 20-9 run during the second eight minutes of play to build a 43-25 advantage at the half.
Damon Wilkinson and Kalen Garry each had 24 points to lead De Smet, which improved to 10-1. Tory Holland also reached double figures with 12 points.
Holland had 10 rebounds to help the Bulldogs to a 43-21 advantage on the boards. Rett Osthus tallied a team-high nine assists.
Tyson Stevenson had 15 points to lead three players in double figures for Hamlin. Easton Nueundorf and Brennan Keszler added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Nueundorf also led the Chargers (4-4) with five rebounds, five assists and five steals.
De Smet returns to action today with a matchup against second-ranked White River during the Hanson Classic at the Corn Palace in Mitchell. The game is slated for an 8:30 p.m., start.
