HURON — Darleen Ames, 96, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Her memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 26, at Kuhler Funeral Home and livestreamed through their website.
Darleen June Stam was born April 25, 1924, to Hiram Austin and Mary Irene (Cox) Stam, at Huron. She graduated from Huron High School in 1942, and began working at the Armour Packing Plant.
She married John Manley Ames Feb. 22, 1946.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; daughter, Elizabeth Darleen Richeson; son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Warren Richeson; son, Thomas Manley Ames; oldest sister, Juanita Lueth; her twin sister, Shirleen King.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill Marie (Kevin) Minske; son, Martin John Ames daughter-in-law, Debra Ames; sister, Roseann Crenshaw; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
