LETCHER — Edith Virginia Moe, 86 of Letcher, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Avera Brady Health and Rehab.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, at the Letcher Community Church with burial in the American Legion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m.
Edith Virginia was born June 1, 1932, in Hurley to Eldo and Gladys (Benson) Friman. She graduated from Hurley High School and attended the S.D. Beauty Academy in Sioux Falls. She was united in marriage to Donald Moe April 4, 1954. She was a member of Letcher Community Church, active in Women’s Fellowship, the American Legion Auxiliary, and treasurer of the Letcher Township.
She is survived by her husband; children, Roger Moe of Letcher, Richard Moe and Dawn Strand and family of Mitchell, Virginia Moe of Mitchell; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; sisters, Audrey (George) Sample of Flandreau, Doris Cordell of Huron, Margaret Adel of White, Eleanor Bjerkaas of Yankton, Genette Rusk, and Caroline McHahem both of Flandreau, along with other family members.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Eugene Friman, Jim Friman, Richard Friman, Frances Gossel, Dorothy Hansen, Vivian Friman, Geraldine Lechner, and Marian Straw.
